General Cutlass SX455 Q&A

1970 SX Convertible
Author Last Post

Terry, no I did not. I believe the dealer ended up detailing the chassis and raised the price even more.

Hi Jay - Did you end up buying that car or another one?

Terry

Thanks.....this helps a lot! Merry Christmas

For comparison

Depends on quality. If it it is very nice and suits your fancy, I feel that the price is reasonable

Thanks for the effort! Asking $49,500 for it. From what I've seen in the limited amount of sales and listings for SXs, that seems to be high. Any thoughts?

It sure looks like an SX to me. With numbers matching to the VIN, Looks pretty nice.

Looking at a 1970 Cutlass Supreme claiming to be a SX. Here is what I know:

VIN# 342670M152956

Has SX emblems in the correct position

Has cutout bumper and dual exhaust with trumpets

No fender braces (Conv)

Has 455 Block cast # 396021F painted blue with 0M152956 stamped in the correct position

No documentation (build sheet, window sticker, BOS, etc.)

2bbl

Cowl Tag reads:

ST70 34267 L/N 521060 BDY

TR 993 10 C PNT

10B

L/N is not a typo.....I've always seen it as LAN for Lansing

What am I looking at here? Is it a real SX? Appreciate any comments....Thanks in advance! Jay
