Thanks for your help again bro
That's exactly as I thought it would be. Congratulations.
Turned out it was all matching numbers real sx L31 car brotha
I spent quite a bit of time speaking with the owner and asking questions. I was concerned that the transmission was said to have been changed. Without any documentation and the original transmission, it would be challenging to prove authenticity. It is still a nice car that deserves to be loved. Whether real or not. I suspect that it is real
I am familiar with this car and have been watching it for almost two years now. I was in contact briefly with the original owner who had it for sale before the current sale you purchased it from. The car is not an early enough car to be a 2bbl car and is definitely a 4bbl engine. I never got into the details of the parts with the owner but can easily do that with you. If you like you can email me directly or even easier if you use Facebook messenger. BTW, the broadcast card you posted does not go with this car. They were often thrown into the wrong vehicle.
Lots of good suggestions here, especially talking to Alan :) But by "square box arms" you mean the rear control arms, they were not standard on an SX--only on ones with the optional suspension.
If you have the original build sheet the option is Y-79 for the SX, if it was built in Flint good luck, however your cowl tag will tell you the proper color. If you go to the Codes, Doc's Article section on this web site it has a lot of information. First and foremost it has to have the 455, in early in 70 you could get it with a two barrel, but later in the year they switched all of them to the 4, check and make sure you have the square box arms, trumpet tip exhaust, rear bumper with the cutout for the tips. Alan will give you additional information, he's, in my opinion the SX guru.
