The points window should face the drivers side and the vacuum advance points to the passenger side.

Would someone please tell me the correct position for the distributor on my 455 cu in (L33) engine? Where should the access door for the points adjustments be facing? and where should the vacuum advance be located? Thank you! I am thinking that the distributor on this car has been removed and then not put back in correctly. I appreciate any information you can provide.
