Congratulations on your car--1 of 357!! There is one engine choice on the 1971 and it is similar but not identical to the 70 engines. Check the tech section on this site for the details.

Just purchased a numbers matching 455/th400 sx. The former owner said the running gear is the same as the 70, is that correct? Car is in great shape, will be posting it on this site soon,
