Have you tried http://www.classicautoair.com/ ? They seem to know more about auto air than anyone, Good , I know Florida gets nice and toasty (and humid).

I have a 1971 SX 455 that was fully restored about 10 years ago. I had my A/C system converted then from the old R12 to the new R134a. This doesn't really bother me, since I like to drive with all the windows down.....HOWEVER, my wife wants the windows UP and the A/C on whenever she rides with me....but the system does NOT seem to cool properly!!!!! Although my system does cool, somewhat over time, it is just not nearly as good as the systems in my other cars ( a pair of Lexus SC 430s). Does anyone have any suggestions of what I might need to do to the system in my SX...???? Should I replace all the components.....??? or just selected ones?? I don't mind spending the $$$$ if I can be assured that it will work as I want it to.
Do you have any recommended sources that I can find "new OEM" parts to maintain it's original look? I have searched OPG (where I purchased most of my restoration parts) but can find only an upgrade kit for the compressor and hoses.
Thank you for any and all suggestions.......
