1970 SX Convertible for Sale
Robert Colleran

Finally selling my numbers matching '70 SX Convertible. Fired her up yesterday in this great July weather, and as much as I've enjoyed her, it's time to get her to someone who can care for her as she deserves. Just posted the pics I took yesterday and have "proof of life" video. You can reach me at 1970sx4ever@gmail.com

Jim Phillips

Where are the posted photos?

Robert Colleran

Hi Jim,

The pictures are in my profile, along with the details regarding this SX. Also posting the pics to this reply.

Cheers,

Bob

What’s the asking price? And can you advise why it has the wrong front fenders? Was it in an accident or were the original fenders rusted out and replaced?

Robert Colleran

I'm asking $18k. And those are the "right" front fenders as far as I know. I've owned the car for 15 years and I know the prior two owners - it has not been in any accidents as long as we owned it, and no modifications were made by any of us.

1970 model year fenders were different from 1971/72 fenders. They were smooth inside where the hood rests, not dimpled up like 71 and 72. This is why 1970 original fenders are considered to be so much more valuable than the older years and repops. It appears on your car that the fenders are 71 or 72 fenders or they are remanufactured replacement fenders. That’s why I was asking. Some here can correct me if I’m wrong, but I owned a 70 SX that was also owned by Bob Peters (his first SX actually) and I have 3 1970 supremes currently and all have the smooth fenders correct to that one year. I have attached a photo for reference

Robert Colleran

Thanks Eric I reached out to the previous owner and he confirmed we have not had any accidents or rebuilds - if it was replaced, it was done before any of the past three owners had the car (myself included in the three).
